Head Teacher’s Welcome

A welcome message from our headteacher.

Head Teacher’s Welcome

Mrs E Maher

I am delighted to be able to welcome you to St Joseph’s Catholic primary School.   St Joseph’s is a Catholic school which prides itself on living its mission by creating a happy, caring school where everyone is encouraged and inspired to reach their true potential.  It is a privilege to be entrusted with the education and well-being of our young children, and it gives me a great deal of pride to see our children as they grow, learn and flourish as they travel through our school.

Our school team is committed to the children’s well-being, to achieving high standards and providing the best opportunities for the children in our care.  Our parents and families play an important role in this; we believe that children learn best when there are strong links between home and school, and we value the support our families give to their children and our school community.

To find out more about our lovely school please do take a look around the website.  If there is anything else you’d like to know, or if you’d like to arrange a visit, just give us a call.

Gardening Gang

Our gardening gang harvested some of our fruit and vegetables this week. We had some lovely potatoes, tomatoes and peas.

Celebration of Sport

Year 5 children competed with other other trust schools in a Celebration of Sport at Gateshead stadium. They participated in multi sports events and dance.

Gardening Gang

The gardening gang are now seeing the results of their hard work. They enjoyed eating some of the strawberries they had planted and they made some delicious mint tea for all of the staff using the fresh mint that had been planted.
