We are children of God; we achieve, believe and care.

Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School

Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School! I hope that you will enjoy looking around our site. Our aim is to give you as much information as possible about our school, the staff and the many activities our children enjoy through our curriculum and extra-curricular activities.

We are a Catholic school which prides itself on living its mission by creating a happy, caring school where everyone is encouraged and inspired to reach their true potential. I am extremely proud to lead a team that is committed to children’s well-being, achieving high standards and providing the very best opportunities for all in our care.

Aims & Vision

St. Joseph’s is a happy and caring Catholic school where everyone aspires to reach their true potential with Christ at the heart of all we do.

Children in Need

All children were invited to take part in non-uniform day for Children in Need. They were asked to wear something bright or spotty. Our school kitchen also had a Pudsey themed lunch which the children enjoyed. Thank you to parents/carers for your generous donations, our school raised £148.81 for Children in Need.

Parliament Week

We welcomed Sharon Hodgson MP to school during parliament week. She had a tour of school from our school council and talked to the children about the work she does as an MP and in the house of commons. She then stayed for lunch with the children.

Harvest Festival

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Harvest Festival. Washington Community Food Project collected the donations and were overwhelmed by the amount of contributions that were received. Children from Year 2 helped to sort out the donations ready for collection.
