Whitehouse Farm

What a fabulous day! We were very excited to visit the farm for the first time and were not disappointed. We were met by a very friendly elf who spent the day with us and guided around the farm. Our first exciting activity was a ride on Santa's sleigh.  All aboard!

After the sleigh ride we had an energetic time in the soft play area. It was great fun playing with our friends.

We then went to a large barn, where we handled lots of animals including a TARANTULA and a SNAKE! We were very brave and even let the elf put the tarantula on our heads.

After lunch in the barn, we went to write our letters to Santa. We were met by a very tall Christmas fairy with a beautiful voice. She told us to post our letters in the special box and tip toe to see Santa because he was sleeping soundly. He got a huge shock when we woke him up. Santa had all our names in his special book and knew exactly what we wanted. He gave us a special present - some magic hay and a lolly. The walk through Winter Wonderland was spectacular. Look at some of the photos.

After Santa we went to another barn where we acted out the Nativity. Mary and Joseph (2 of our children) actually came in on a donkey! They were magnificent. The innkeeper built the story up by gathering shepherds, angels, kings and animals. We all took part and sang one of our Nativity songs.

We finished our day by feeding donkeys, ponies and goats around the farm. They were very hungry!

We saw some of the biggest owls we have ever seen. Even bigger than Harry Potter's.

A very happy but tired Reception class headed back to St Joseph's on the bus having had a fabulous day to remember. Our teachers said we were FABULOUS!
