Our Identity Topic
Who do you think you are? Are you an extrovert or an introvert, a singleton, a twin or a triplet?
This half term Year 6 have been discovering what makes them unique and special.
As part of this topic Year 6 investigated their fingerprints. Did you know there are three different patterns of fingerprints? The arch, the loop and the whorl. With the help of PC Lisa we found that the most common fingerprint pattern in Year 6 is the loop. However, every loop will be slightly different and unique to that individual.
We discussed our likes and our dislikes, our hobbies and our physical features. We designed T-Shirts to represent our unique identity. Using the sewing technique 'applique' we created our initials and other symbols to represent us. We are thankful to all the adults who came in to support us. We are planning a fashion show very soon so watch out!
